Auriga Tuna Nino Castglione

The Nino Castiglione company is the largest food company in Sicily. Born in 1933 on the slopes of Mount Erice in Trapani, today Nino Castiglione is the leader in Italy for the processing and packaging of tuna. The real tuna processed in Sicily, land of the trap. The turnover is around 110 million euros with 250 employees. The production starts with whole tuna and ends with canning and seasoning, through a production process carried out entirely in Trapani, a land that has always been suited to fishing and processing of tuna. Stowed in the characteristic 125g or 310g oval tin (photo), this product stands out from the more common canned round tuna thanks to a slower processing, performed with dedicated machines, which guarantee greater integrity of the fillet. Obtained from steamed yellow fin tuna, it has its distinctive features in the typical pink color, in the compactness of the meat and in the delicate flavor.
