Sosalt is born in 1922 with the name of SIES (Industrial Salt Extraction Company). The salt pans of Trapani fall within the Natural Reserve of the Saline di Trapani-Paceco, one of the most pristine reserves in Western Sicily. In these salt pans, which extend for about 1000 hectares, for millennia the knowledge and tradition of man has been harmoniously combined with nature to give life to the Trapani Sea Salt. In fact, it is precisely here that we produce most of the product that is used by the entire Italian food chain and which is then found on the shelves of supermarkets, in delicatessens and restaurants all over the world. These salt pans are the emblem of the perfect integration between tradition and the most modern technology applied to salt.
