Mutti tomato pulp and made from only Italian tomato. Mutti was born thanks to Ugo Mutti who elaborated the idea destined to transform the agricultural vocation of the family, proposing to his father Marcellino to set up a small factory to produce tomato extract. In fact, vacuum cooking was recently introduced and the tomato paste, instead of being preserved in loaves, could be canned in cans: a turning point for the future canning industry. The company immediately privileged the sale of the branded product. It is called Conserva Nera, and is the forerunner of the modern tomato concentrate.
